Board of Commissioners Proclaims Childhood Cancer Awareness Week
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed Sept. 23 through Sept. 27, 2024, as Childhood Cancer Awareness Week at a Sept. 19 meeting.
According to the American Childhood Cancer Organization, each year an estimated 15,780 children aged 0-19 in the United States are diagnosed with cancer.
The Board urges all residents to learn about this disease, participate in events promoting the fight against cancer, and support those who are affected by it.
