UPDATE: Half Mile Portion of the Big Creek Greenway Reopens after Renovations
NOV. 20 UPDATE: The renovations to the Big Creek Greenway between mile markers 9.0 and 9.5 are complete, and the full 16 miles of trails are currently open for public use.
OCT. 27 UPDATE: The Big Creek Greenway will temporarily close between mile markers 9.7-9.8 for boardwalk repairs, anticipated to take place Tuesday, Oct. 31, through Thursday, Nov. 2, weather permitting.
This closure is to improve a bridge with minimal impact as nearby boardwalk repairs are already underway at mile markers 9.0-9.5 (see below).
OCT. 16 UPDATE: Construction supplies have arrived, and work is now underway to make needed boardwalk repairs on a half-mile section of the Big Creek Greenway, north of the Bethelview Trailhead (mile marker 9.0-9.5). For your safety, this section of the BCG closed on Monday, Oct. 16, and is expected to reopen in approximately three months, weather permitting.
The Bethelview Trailhead and rest of the Big Creek Greenway are set to remain open during this time.

SEPT. 8: A half-mile section of the Big Creek Greenway, north of the Bethelview Trailhead (mile marker 9.0-9.5), will be closed for needed boardwalk repairs beginning later this month for approximately two months, weather permitting. The Bethelview Trailhead and rest of the Big Creek Greenway are set to remain open during this time.

Other planned improvements in the coming year include maximizing parking spaces, enhancing traffic flow and expanding County storage space at the Bethelview Trailhead. Boardwalk design improvements are also being considered between the Fowler Park and Bethelview Trailheads.
