Pet Resource Center, Animal Services to Host Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic
First come, first served rabies vaccines offered March 19
To decrease the spread of rabies, the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center and Animal Services will host a free Rabies Vaccine Clinic for dogs and cats from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, at the Forsyth County Animal Services office (4057 County Way).
“Rabies is a fatal disease that can spread to both pets and humans, often through contact with wildlife,” said Pet Resource Center Interim Manager Jaci Kobeszka. “We are grateful to our community partners who are supplying the vaccines and administering them at no cost to our taxpayers.”
The vaccination clinic will be offering rabies vaccines until supplies last and on a first come, first served basis in the Companion Animal Resource and Education (CARE) Mobile Unit in the Animal Services parking lot. Residents wishing to participate in the vaccination clinic must fill out a check-in form and provide proof of residency in Forsyth County.
All cats are required to be transported to the event in secure travel carriers, and all dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
