New Election Equipment to be Demonstrated During Public Information House
Residents encouraged to experience new equipment before election cycle
The Forsyth County Voter Registrations& Elections Office will host a public information open house meeting from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, for residents to experience new electionequipment that will be used for upcoming elections. The drop-in style meetingwill be held at the Forsyth County Elections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.).
“The primary change that voters willnotice with the new equipment is that now they will have a printed ballot toreview prior to casting a vote,” said Director of Forsyth County VoterRegistrations & Elections Mandi Smith. “We wanted to give residents achance to see the equipment and understand this new process before heading tothe polls.”
Voter Registrations & Electionsstaff will be at the meeting to demonstrate the new equipment and answerquestions.
Feb. 24 is also the last day for ForsythCounty residents to submit a Voter Registration Application to register to voteor change their name/address to have it processed for the March 24 PresidentialPreference Primary election.
