Rickert Joins Forsyth County as Director of Public Transportation
Roy Rickert joined Forsyth County government on July 6 asthe director of Public Transportation. In this role, Rickert will direct theoperational and managerial activities of the Public Transportation Departmentand guide the future of the County’s transit system.
Rickert brings 18 years of public transportation experienceand leadership. His background includes design and implementation of bothdemand response and fixed route services, operations and advocacy. Mostrecently, he served as the Executive Director of Bis-Man Transit in Bismarck,North Dakota.
Rickert holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice fromTroy State University. He is a graduate of the American Public TransportationAssociation’s Leadership APTA program and is active in various industryassociations.
