Junior Fire Academy

Junior Fire Academy 2024 will be from June 17- June 21!! Fill out and submit your application by April 26.

Each summer, the Fire Department invites rising 7th and 8th grade students interested in learning what it takes to be a firefighter to sign up for a free week-long, daytime summer camp program.

Safety Poster Contest

Every year, the Fire Department invites local third grade students to show off their creativity by making a safety poster illustrating one of three chosen safety topics of that year.

The 2024 Safety Poster Contest starts Feb. 5! Choose from one of the three topics below, and make your own safety poster. Last day for submissions is March 1. Winners will be announced no later than March 11 and will be offered a dessert party with their class and local firefighters; a Certificate of Accomplishment from the Forsyth County Fire Chief and their artwork displayed in various Forsyth County government buildings.

Fill out this release form and secure it to the back of your poster.

2024 Themes:

  1. Smoke Alarms (Changing batteries, testing, sounds, placement)
  2. Two Ways Out (Importance of finding two ways out of every room)
  3. Pedestrian Safety (Crossing the street, waiting for signal, cars must stop)

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat 2024 is almost here! Join us at the Cumming Fairgrounds Parking Lot on October 26, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.

Want to promote your business or non-profit and give the public a real treat!? Participating in this event is a great way for you and your business to engage in the local community in a creative, fun way.

Every year, the Fire Department brings fun and fire safety together during a Halloween Trunk or Treat event. This is a great event for the whole community to learn about things like costume safety, pedestrian safety and stranger danger.
