Big Creek Greenway Re-Opened
UPDATED September 18, 2017: All sections of the Big Creek Greenway, including the McFarland Parkway trail head, that were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup from the recent storm have re-opened!
UPDATED September 15, 2017: Sawnee Mountain Preserve has re-opened! A section of the Big Creek Greenway (from McFarland Parkway to Union Hill Road) remains closed to allow for cleanup from the recent storm, as does the McFarland Parkway trail head. Please continue to avoid the closed areas, to allow crews to perform their cleanup work.
To allow for cleanup from the recent storm, Forsyth County’s Big Creek Greenway and Sawnee Mountain Preserve are currently closed. The county will work to get them reopened for use as soon as possible. In the meantime, please avoid these areas to ensure your safety and allow crews to perform their cleanup work. Thank you.
