During their first meeting of the year on Jan. 4, the Board of Commissioners elected officers for 2024.

District 1 Commissioner Kerry Hill was elected to serve as vice chairwoman, and District 5 Commissioner Laura Semanson was elected as secretary. District 2 Commissioner Alfred John was elected as the Board’s chairman for 2024, his third consecutive year in the role, during a Nov. 2, 2023, meeting.

The Board of Commissioners is made up of five members, each living in a specific district and elected by their district to serve four-year terms.
