Board of Commissioners Proclaims Hispanic Heritage Month
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month at a Sept. 5 meeting.
The theme for this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” which recognizes Hispanic and Latino Americans who have been trailblazers for future generations.
The Board urges Forsyth County residents to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America during this time.
