Boil Water Advisory Issued for Portion of Northeastern Forsyth County
May 20, 2016: A boil water advisory notice was issued just after midnight for a small portion of northeastern Forsyth County in the area of Shady Grove Road from Mountain View Trail to Lake Lanier, to include all roads off of Shady Grove Road between Mountain View Trail and the lake. The boil water advisory was issued due to a water main break.
If you received a telephone call from Forsyth County’s emergency alert system and you are not located within the impacted area, please disregard the notification. We regret the error and apologize for any inconvenience.
Those impacted by the outage should boil water before drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil. This boil water advisory is in effect for 48 hours after water has been restored unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer.
