Brian Clark Named Chief Financial Officer for Forsyth County

Brian Clark has been named Chief Financial Officer for Forsyth County, effective January 2. Clark brings over 15 years of experience in finance and operations management to the role.  

“We are very excited to welcome Brian Clark to Forsyth County as Chief Financial Officer,” said County Manager David McKee. “His wealth of knowledge and extensive background in finance and operations management will serve him well as he leads the Department of Finance.”

Previously, Clark worked for United Parcel Service (UPS), where he provided budgetary planning, reporting and oversight, financial analysis, strategic planning and implementation, and project management.

While at UPS, Clark was a controller at the Global Business Services site in Columbus, Ohio and for the Asia Internal Controls and Standards team based out of Singapore. He then assumed Atlanta-based Director of Finance roles overseeing International Finance and Accounting, Retail and Residential Operations, U.S. Domestic Small Package, the South Atlantic District and the Payroll Center of Excellence.

In early 2023, Clark began independent consulting with Clark Finance Consulting Services, LLC. In this role, Clark provided finance, accounting, business operations and leadership services to analyze, implement and improve client engagement outcomes.

Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix, and he has a program management certificate from Boston University.

The Chief Financial Officer for Forsyth County oversees the Department of Finance, which provides financial support to all departments, contributes to the implementation of goals and objectives established by the Board of Commissioners, guides the County on debt matters, analyzes financial data, assists in making sound financial decisions and assures compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
