Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Chairman and District 2 Commissioner Alfred John delivered the 2025 State of the County address on Tuesday, April 8, with the theme “InvestIN’.” Photos from the event can be found here.

This year’s address highlighted the investments Forsyth County is making today to ensure a bright future, as well as the costs associated with maintaining the highest quality of service. The address was supported by an interactive quiz and pre-recorded interviews spotlighting the investments Forsyth County elected officials and staff, residents and business leaders are making in the community.

“To succeed, we have to make investments of time, energy and financial resources in the right areas,” said John in the address. “And that is exactly what YOUR government is doing – investing today for an even better tomorrow in Forsyth County.”

The annual event, hosted in partnership with the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, is an opportunity for residents and community-minded business leaders to get updated on the County’s accomplishments, vision for the future, and the priorities and plans that guide the County’s decisions.
