Community Input Sought for Sawnee Mountain Preserve Overlook Amenities
New scenic overlook to be located at former BarkerHouse property
Forsyth County Parks & Recreation isseeking community input for amenities to be featured at a proposed scenic overlookat Sawnee Mountain Preserve. The input process will be conducted online, and participantswill be able to view a narrated presentation about the project as well as participatein a community engagement survey.
The presentation includes informationabout the project site, existing conditions and types of amenities that arebeing proposed. The survey, which is available through Sept. 10, and videopresentation can be found here.
“We encourage residents to providefeedback for this beautiful overlook area at one of our most popular andtreasured parks,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor.
