Following Power Loss, County Asks for Needed Water Use Only
UPDATE: Good news! Our partners at Georgia Power have restored power to our water plant. We ask that water conservation efforts continue through Saturday at noon as we work to replenish our water resources. Thanks to water conservation efforts and our operations staff, we have continued to provide high quality water to all customers throughout this challenge.
July 21: As a result of the severe storms last evening and the subsequent loss of local power, the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer has temporarily lost the ability to produce water at its water plant. As such, we request that all water use be limited to emergency purposes only while we wait for power to be restored and can resume water production.
Updates will be made via the County's social media channels and forsythco.com as available.
Thank you for your patience. Stay safe.
