Forsyth County 911 Center Realigned Under Emergency Management Agency
Effective July 1, 2019, the Forsyth County 911 Center has been realigned under the Forsyth County Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Previously, the 911 Center reported directly to the county manager.
“Our goal is to continue to be as efficient as possible for our community,” said EMA Director Chris Grimes. “This realignment helps emergency personnel from all departments and agencies coordinate efforts more effectively.”
911 Center Interim Director Rebecca Russell will serve as deputy director of the 911 Center with a deputy for EMA to be named at a later date. EMA became a stand-alone department within the county’s organizational chart in 2018.
