Forsyth County Fire Department Recognizes and Promotes Personnel, Welcomes New Firefighter
Personnel receive awards for life-saving actions
In a ceremony held Friday, March 15, the Forsyth County Fire Department presented awards, promoted 18 personnel and swore in a new firefighter. Family, friends and Fire Department staff attended the ceremony held in the Forsyth County Administration Building.
Awards were presented to personnel in the first portion of the ceremony. 12 Life Saved awards were presented to Fire Department personnel in recognition of outstanding actions over the past several years.
“The Life Saved Awards are an opportunity for the Fire Department to highlight the decisive and extraordinary efforts of our personnel that directly led to saving an individual’s life,” said Division Chief Jason Shivers, who served as emcee for the ceremony.
In the promotional portion of the event, the following members of the department were formally promoted to new positions:
