Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Fall Baseball and Softball Registration Now Open
Leagues are offered for children ages 4 through 17
Forsyth County Parks & Recreation will begin accepting registrations for fall baseball and softball Monday, July 17, and ending Friday, August 4. Baseball and softball leagues are offered for boys and girls ages 4 (by September 1, 2017) through 17.
“Our fall baseball and softball leagues are very popular in the county,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. “It’s a great way for kids and their families to kick off the new school year, make friends and have fun, all while staying active.”
Beginning July 17, registrations will be accepted online at www.forsythco.com/parks and at the county’s three recreation centers located at Central Park (2300 Keith Bridge Road), Fowler Park (4110 Carolene Way) and Old Atlanta Park (810 Nichols Road). The registration fee is $75 for Forsyth County residents and $150 for non-county residents.
After registration, children will be placed into their appropriate age division. League practices will begin the week of August 28 with games beginning in mid-September. The season ends in mid-October. Fall baseball and softball is an instructional league and scores or standings will not be recorded. The intent of the fall league is for the participants to have fun and learn the playing rules that will be used in the following spring season.
