Campground offers 110 campsites

Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s Shady Grove Campground, located on the shores of Lake Lanier at 7800 Allyn Lane Memorial Way in Cumming, will open for the season on March 6.

The 109-acre campground offers 110 campsites – including tent campsites, RV campsites and group campsites, a beach and swim area, boat ramp with a courtesy dock, children’s playground, and restroom and shower facilities.

“Shady Grove Campground is a distinctive highlight of Forsyth County Parks & Recreation offerings,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. “The campground provides great natural amenities including boat and swim access to Lake Lanier that make for an ideal overnight stay or a weeklong staycation.”
