Recognitions come from the National Association of County Information Officers

The National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) has recognized the Forsyth County Government 2015 Annual Report and the Forsyth County Fire Department 2015 Annual Report through the 2017 NACIO Awards of Excellence. Both reports earned an Excellence rating, the result of exceeding industry standards.

The Forsyth County Government 2015 Annual Report includes highlights from the year, updates on transportation projects and new parks, information on county government funding and more. The 2015 report can be viewed online at the Department of Communications page at forsythco.com. Printed copies of the most recent annual report, covering 2016, are available at the Forsyth County Administration Building located at 110 E. Main Street in downtown Cumming.

The Forsyth County Fire Department 2015 Annual Report contains information about the fire department’s divisions, current and future stations, apparatus, the year in review and more. The 2015 report can be viewed online at the Fire Department page at forsythco.com. Printed copies of the most recent annual report, covering 2016, are available at the Forsyth County Administration Building, the Public Safety Complex located at 3520 Settingdown Road and all fire stations.

Both publications were prepared by the Forsyth County Department of Communications, with the Fire Department report prepared in collaboration with the Forsyth County Fire Department.

NACIO is an affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and was formed in 1966 to bring together county communications professionals. Each year, NACIO hosts its Awards of Excellence in Communications contest. Its winners demonstrate the highest level of proficiency in their work and display best practices for peers nationwide.
