Forsyth County Reports Sewage Spill to Georgia EPD
In accordance with Environmental Protection Division regulations, this is notice that on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, a sewer spill was discovered near 3072 Cross Creek Dr in the Pinnacle Glen subdivision. It is estimated that approximately 1,200 gallons of sewage spilled into Bagley Creek. The spill was the result of blockage in the gravity sewer line caused by a buildup of grease and rags. The ground affected by the spill has been cleaned up and treated with lime. Forsyth County is taking all necessary precautions and complying with EPD guidelines. The Georgia EPD was notified of the incident on Aug. 31, 2023, and stream monitoring has been established for a period of one year.
