The Headquarters building for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has moved. They are now located in the Forsyth County Courthouse Annex at 100 E. Courthouse Square (the former Forsyth County Courthouse).

This is where you will now go for the following services:

• Ordinances and Permits – Background checks, alcohol sales, solicitor permits, etc.

• Civil Processing – Property seizures summonses, evictions, writs, temporary probate orders, protection orders, FiFas and condemnations

• Other Sheriff’s Office functions that are now located in this building include The Office of the Sheriff, The Office of the Chief Deputy, The Office of Professional Standards, Finance, Human Resources, and the Operations Division.

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office is accessed through the front door of the Courthouse Annex on the street level. Probate Court occupies the lower level of the building and can be accessed through the rear door at the parking lot level.

Parking is available for those visiting the Courthouse Annex at two parking decks in downtown Cumming. There is marked parking in the employee parking lot for visitors with disabilities who need to access this building.
