Forsyth County to Consider Adoption of Partial Update to Comprehensive Plan
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the partial update to its Comprehensive Plan on Oct. 20, 2022, the culmination of a 13-month planning effort that began with a public kick-off hearing on Oct. 21, 2021.
The Board of Commissioners briefing will include an overview presentation of major changes to the plan resulting from the partial update as well as comments received via regional and state review. The briefing will occur during the Oct. 20 Board of Commissioners Meeting. Meeting details are as follows:

Once adopted, the Comprehensive Plan document will be posted to the County website, replacing the existing plan. The current Forsyth County Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted in July 2017 may be found by visiting forsythco.com or by clicking here.
Georgia requires communities to update their comprehensive plans every five years, including a reevaluation of needs and opportunities, preferred options for future land use as well as action steps to achieve community goals.
