Forsyth Named State’s Healthiest County for Fifth Consecutive Year
For the fifth consecutive year, Forsyth County has been named the healthiest county in Georgia.
The distinction comes as part of the annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps study initiated by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
The rankings are based on county residents’ quality of life and length of life, and the report presents a series of other factors that help influence those criteria. Among those components are health behaviors (obesity, tobacco use, access to exercise opportunities, etc.), clinical care, social and economic factors like unemployment and poverty, and physical environment.
