Intermittent Lane Closures Expected Feb. 3-7 on Sanders Rd. and Mary Alice Park Rd.

Work on the Lake Lanier Return Flow System continues!

Crews will be conducting fieldwork in two areas along the project route the week of Feb. 3-7. The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.

Expect brief, intermittent lane closures and delays in the following locations:

  • Sanders Road (between Buford Dam Road and Mary Alice Park Road)
  • Mary Alice Park Road (between Sanders Road and Mary Alice Park)

What fieldwork are the crews doing? Crews will be performing soil borings, also called geotechnical borings, which is a technique used to investigate and determine soil composition and conditions at a site where construction is planned.

The completed Return Flow System will convey highly treated water from the Fowler Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) to Lake Lanier. Learn more about the Lake Lanier Return Flow System at www.forsythco.com/returnflow.
