Learn about Georgia’s rich diversity of amphibians

Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB), a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate, and Georgia Adopt-A-Stream are offering a free amphibian monitoring workshop to those ages 12 and older. Participants will learn about Georgia’s rich diversity of amphibians and how to help protect and monitor their lakes, streams and wetlands. The workshop will be led by Dr. Norman Leonard, a biology professor from the University of North Georgia.

The amphibian monitoring course will be held on Saturday, April 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Central Park Recreation Center, 2300 Keith Bridge Road. Attendees must be at least 12 years old, and any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes.
