Mary Alice Park will implement new entry policies on weekends and holidays to better accommodate and serve the large number of guests at the popular Lake Lanier beach and boat launch location.

Effective Saturday, June 15, the following park policies will apply on weekends and holidays:

• Once the park has reached capacity, entry will be closed for the remainder of the day.
• Same day re-entry will not be permitted.

Digital signs will be placed on Mary Alice Park Road to alert guests when the park is full and entry has closed for the day. Guests coming to enjoy the beach areas may arrive as early as 6 a.m.

“In our effort to provide a safe and enjoyable experience at Mary Alice Park, our staff will close the park for the rest of the day once it has reached capacity,” said Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Director Kirk Franz. “On busy days, we encourage the public to arrive early to avoid any issues accessing the park.”
