New Feature Added to Interactive Transportation Projects Map
In April, Forsyth County government launched a new web page – www.forsythco.com/transportation – on the county website to allow citizens to quickly and easily locate details on county transportation projects including road widenings, intersection improvements and more. To further help citizens on their daily commutes and trip planning, the map now displays temporary road closures related to road projects – including roads that are currently closed or will be in the near future.
The interactive transportation projects map web feature is map-based, allowing users to quickly find information on projects that may impact their daily commute. The map – which is accessible across multiple devices – combines the county’s Geographic Information Services (GIS) capability with data from the county’s Engineering Department to put the data into a map-based platform.
