Online Survey Seeks Feedback on Residential Design Preferences
Lot and subdivision design preferences survey available through May 2
Forsyth County is seeking citizen feedback, through an online survey, on preferred residential design standards for the single-family Res2, Res3 and Res4 zoning districts. Design standards under consideration include exterior materials, windows, roofs, garages, lighting, building orientation to street, building scale and disposition on lot, site design, connectivity and walkability, landscaping and open space.
Data collected from the survey will help formulate a vision for future residential development in the county, building upon design preferences communicated by stakeholders who attended March listening sessions and an April open house.
The survey is available to county residents on the Forsyth County website at forsythco.com until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 and can be accessed by clicking the link below.

Development of new design and performance standards for Res2, Res3 and Res4 zoning districts was an identified task within the Comprehensive Plan’s Community Work Program, adopted by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners in 2017.
