Open House Sessions to be Held for Proposed Precinct and Polling Place Changes
Proposed changes, if approved, may alterwhere residents will vote
Residents are encouragedto attend a series of open house meetings to review potential changes to countypolling places and voting precinct lines. The changes have been drafted by the ForsythCounty Board of Voter Registrations and, if approved, would go into effectduring the 2020 election cycle.
“The board iscontinuously looking for ways to enhance the voting process for residents andhas been carefully preparing these changes over the past few months,” saidVoter Registration and Elections Director Mandi Smith. “If approved, theseproposed plans may alter where residents will vote, but district lines and whorepresents residents will not change.”
Public information open housesessions on the proposed precinct and polling place changes will be held at thefollowing locations, dates and times:
