POSTPONED TO SEPT. 21: Pet Resource Center to Host Family Fun Day with Rabies Vaccinations, Microchipping Clinic

POSTPONED: Due to inclement weather, the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center is postponing its Summer' Lovin adoption event and free rabies/microchip clinic to NEXT SATURDAY, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (clinic through 2 p.m.).


The Forsyth County Pet Resource Center is wrapping up its 10th annual Summer of Love adoption promotion with a family fun day and adoption event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Pet Resource Center (4065 County Way). 

The event is free to the public and will include:

  • Free rabies vaccinations and microchipping for residents’ pets from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
    • Provided at the Companion Animal Resource and Education (CARE) Mobile Unit
    • With proof of residency in Forsyth County
  • Local pet vendor booths
  • Gift basket raffle
  • Free hot dogs and chips
  • Games and prizes for children
  • Access to the adjacent Coal Mountain Dog Park
  • Visits by many of the center’s adoptable pets

Food and beverages as well as microchipping and rabies vaccination services will be available as supplies last. All dogs are required to be on leash, and cats must be in carriers at the event.
