Polls Open May 22 for General Primary, NonPartisan General Election and Special Elections
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22 for the General Primary, NonPartisan General Election and Special Elections. Voters must go to their designated polling place to vote on Election Day. Please verify your Election Day precinct at www.forsythco.com prior to heading out to vote. For all in-person voting, remember to bring one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification. Please note there is no voting of any kind the Monday prior to any election.
Schools No Longer Serve as Election Day Polling Places
If you previously voted at a school, visit www.forsythco.com or www.mvp.sos.ga.gov to verify your current Election Day polling place.
Advance Voting Location May Not Be Your Designated Election Day Polling Place
Remember, three of the four Advance Voting locations (Hampton Park Library, Midway Park Community Building and Sharon Springs Park Community Building) are Election Day polling places, however, on Election Day only those voters who are assigned to those designated polling places may cast their ballot there.
The Voter Registration and Elections Office at 1201 Sawnee Drive is open for Advance Voting but is NOT an Election Day polling place. The office is open all day on Election Day to answer any questions a voter may have, however, there is no voting at the Voter Registration and Elections Office on Election Day. A voter’s polling location on Election Day is specific to where their residence (as registered) falls within designated precinct lines and in most cases is no more than five miles from a voter’s house.
