Precinct Cards Being Mailed to Forsyth County Voters to Notify of District, Precinct and Polling Place Changes
Forsyth County registered voters can expect to receive a new voter precinct card in the mail in the coming weeks. Forsyth County Voter Registrations & Elections is mailing the cards to all Forsyth County registered voters to inform them of recent district, precinct and polling place changes.
What changes have been made?
- All of Forsyth County’s approximately 178,000 voters are impacted by a change in United States Congressional District resulting from a U.S. district judge’s ruling in December 2023. Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Forsyth County will be represented by Georgia’s 7th Congressional district. The new district will first appear on the 2024 General Primary ballot. Forsyth County will maintain its current representation and district through Dec. 31, 2024.
- Approximately 37,000 of Forsyth County’s registered voters have been reassigned to a different precinct/polling place following changes approved in December 2023 by the Forsyth County Board of Voter Registrations & Elections and the Board of Commissioners. The changes encompassed adjustments to the boundaries of several voting precincts and relocation of the Election Day polling place for three precincts. These changes are effective starting with the 2024 election cycle.

Do voters need to do anything with the precinct card?
- Upon receipt of their precinct card, voters are encouraged to review the information and familiarize themselves with their districts and assigned Election Day precinct and polling place.
- No action is required, unless a voter moves. If a voter moves, instructions are included on the card for updating their residence online or via mail.
