Road Closures Due to Storm Damage
***UPDATED as of 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 20***
We cannot accurately update roadways being reopened at this time, as many roads are partially open but unsafe for routine travel. A team from Forsyth County Department of Roads and Bridges, Forsyth County Fire Department, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office as well private wrecker companies, Sawnee EMC, Georgia Power and a multitude of Forsyth County citizens are removing trees, debris and power lines. If you must travel, please be cautious due to debris and objects in the roadway, and on the sides of the roads.
Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that Hwy 9 and Valley Circle Road will be closed until the afternoon of Friday, July 21, due to debris and obstructions.
