Ronald Reagan Boulevard Extension Open House Meeting Set for October 15
Residents are invited to attend a public information open house meeting to learn about plans to construct an extension to Ronald Reagan Blvd. Final construction plans for the project will be available during the informal open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at South Forsyth High School (585 Peachtree Pkwy.). Engineering staff will be available to answer questions.
“An informal open house of this nature is meant to inform residents and allow for more opportunities to answer individual questions concerning construction,” said Forsyth County Director of Engineering John Cunard. “We look forward to speaking with county residents and sharing the final plans.”
The proposed project consists of the design and construction of two lanes, in each direction, from Majors Rd. to McFarland Pkwy, with a 20-foot raised median, shoulders, curb and gutter, a five-foot sidewalk and a 10-foot multi-use path. The length of the proposed project is approximately 3.6 miles. Attendees are asked to enter the South Forsyth HS "West Hall" and not the main entrance for the meeting.
The Forsyth County Transportation Bond approved by voters in 2014 obligated $44 million to the project.
