Smoky Conditions throughout the County Caused by Shifting Winds
The Forsyth County 911 Center has received multiple reports of smoky conditions throughout the county. Please be assured that this is not being caused by a fire in the county. Rather, the National Weather Service and Georgia Forestry Commission have confirmed that it is the result of shifting winds which are blowing smoke from fires in the northwest part of the state into our area. Please know that the Forsyth County Fire Department is aware of and monitoring the situation.
As always, if you see active flames please call 911.
