SR 369 Widening And 400 Interchange Project Open House Meeting Set For November 19
Residents are invited to attend a publicinformation open house meeting to learn more about the upcoming widening of SR369 and creation of a partial cloverleaf interchange at SR 369 and SR 400. Finalconstruction plans for both project components will be available during theinformal open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 19, at Coal Mountain ElementarySchool (3455 Coal Mountain Dr.). Engineering staff will be available to answerquestions.
“The purpose of thisopen house is to offer the public an opportunity to view the construction plansfor the components of both projects and to ask questions,” said Forsyth CountyDirector of Engineering John Cunard.
Widening of SR369/Browns Bridge Rd. -Plans call for widening from an existing two-lane roadway just west of SR 9 toslightly east of SR 306. The distance of the widening project is approximately2.4 miles. The proposed typical section of SR 369 would include four 12-footwide travel lanes (two lanes in each direction) with a 20-foot wide raised median,eight-foot wide enhanced sidewalk along the south side of the road and five-footwide sidewalks along the north. The right-of-way is anticipated to be acorridor width of 120 feet along the SR 369 mainline.
SR 369/SR 400Interchange Upgrade - Inaddition to the proposed roadway widening, the project will change the existingsignalized intersection of SR 400 and SR 369 to a grade-separated, partialcloverleaf interchange.
Funding for the wideningand intersection upgrade comes from the Forsyth County Transportation Bond,approved by voters in 2014, as well other county and GDOT Funding.
