State Route 400 Northbound Widening Project Opens to Traffic
Update from Georgia Department of Transportation: The final section of the new northbound lane on State Route (SR) 400 is now open to traffic. Motorists can now travel in the new northbound third lane all the way from McFarland Parkway to SR 369. Work continues on the new southbound lane.
The SR 400 widening project – adding a lane in each direction of SR 400 from McFarland Parkway to SR 369 – is being made possible through a partnership between Forsyth County and the Georgia Department of Transportation. GDOT has contributed funding to this work and is managing the project. The remainder of the project funding comes from the Forsyth County Transportation Bond approved by 63% of Forsyth County voters in 2014.
