Survey Seeking Input on Potential Transportation Solutions in Forsyth County Extended

To allow more time for more public feedback, an onlinesurvey regarding potential transportation solutions and draft projects inForsyth County has been extended through Sunday, December 31. The survey is apart of the county’s comprehensive transportation plan, a guiding documentupdated every five years that outlines the long-range vision for transportationin the county.
“Community involvement is key in ensuring the plan updatetruly captures the spirit and desire of the various voices that representForsyth County,” said Director of Engineering John Cunard. “With the busynessof the holiday season, we want to make sure the people who live, work and playthroughout the county have an adequate amount of time to provide their thoughtson the transportation plan.”
The community is encouraged to visit the project website –forsythtransportationplan.com – to participate in the online survey, now openfor participation through the remainder of the year.
In addition to the online survey, the county hosted openhouse sessions in various locations throughout the months of November andDecember displaying transportation project drafts and potential solutions.
Public input, combined with the technical expertise ofForsyth County staff and the consultant team, will result in a list oftransportation projects – as well as policy recommendations – for considerationand adoption by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.
