Temporary Traffic Shift at Settingdown and Martin Roads Intersection Begins Nov. 18
The existing four way stop intersection of Settingdown Roadand Martin Road will be temporarily shifted to accommodate a future roundaboutintersection construction. Construction affecting the through traffic movementson Settingdown Road and Martin Road will begin Sunday, Nov. 18, to realign bothroads to a temporary four way stop intersection.
Due to this temporary relocation of the four way stopintersection, Settingdown Road and Martin Road will be intermittently closed tofacilitate the temporary intersection. During the intermittent closure, trafficwill be routed onto a temporary gravel surface. After Nov. 25, the temporary fourway stop intersection will be in place until such time that the construction ofthe proposed roundabout is sufficient to open to traffic.
Signage will be placed on Settingdown Road and Martin Roadduring the Nov. 18 to Nov. 25 time frame to alert the public of the traffic patternchange. The road is expected to re-open to the new traffic pattern change onMonday, Nov. 26, weather permitting.
