The Great FoCo Cleanup Kicks Off March 23
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) welcomes everyone to take part in the Great FoCo Cleanup by helping remove litter from the community’s roadways between Saturday, March 23, and Monday, April 22 (Earth Day).
The effort is a part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.
Participants, as an organized team of volunteers or as individuals, can pick up supplies and a free KFCB 30th anniversary t-shirt:
- At the kick-off event between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, March 23, at Cumming City Hall (100 E. Main Street).
- By scheduling a convenient time for pickup at the KFCB Office (426 Canton Highway) through Tuesday, April 16.
Volunteers will then depart to clean up roadways in the community and drop off bags of litter at any of the three Forsyth County recycling centers by Monday, April 22. The locations of the three recycling centers can be found on the County’s website.
“We look forward to this event every year and witnessing so many participants making a positive impact on the community is a joy,” said Forsyth County Manager of Environmental Programs Tammy Wright. “We always appreciate the hard work the community puts in to help our county thrive.”
Pre-registration is required, and participants can learn more detailed information by visiting KeepForsythCountyBeautiful.org, emailing KFCB@forsythco.com or by calling (770) 205-4573.
