County, cityand state officials to present updates on transportation April 10
The 2019 Forsyth CountyTransportation Summit will be held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday,April 10 at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College. Theevent, hosted by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, will featuretransportation project updates from local and state officials.
“This summit is a greatopportunity for Forsyth County residents to hear directly from those who areworking diligently to improve transportation and mobility in our community,”said Forsyth County Manager Eric Johnson.
A transportationroundtable discussion with the following panelists will highlight the event:
- Russell McMurry, Georgia Department (GDOT) Commissioner
- Kevin Tanner, District 9 Representative,Transportation Committee Chairman
- Chris Tomlinson, Executive Director, State Roadway andToll Authority (SRTA) and the GeorgiaRegional Transportation Authority (GRTA); Interim Executive Director Atlanta-regionTransit Link Authority (the ATL); and International Bridge, Tunnel and TurnpikeAssociation’s (IBTTA) President
State TransportationBoard Secretary Rudy Bowen will provide the summit’s welcome address andinvocation. Forsyth County Assistant County Manager Garrin Coleman, City ofCumming Mayor Troy Brumbalow and GDOT District 1 Assistant District Engineer,Head of Preconstruction Brandon Kirby will also be providing updates.
