UPDATE: February 3 Tornado Drill Siren Test Postponed
Feb. 3, 2021 12:00 p.m.
During the tornado drill scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, as a part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, there was a software error that prevented the County’s outdoor severe weather sirens from sounding. Forsyth County EMA has engaged the siren manufacturer and engineers directly and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Another siren test will be conducted at a later date. Please note the tornado drill will only be conducted in the event of good weather, to avoid any confusion.
