VIDEO: Portion of Big Creek Greenway to Receive Boardwalk Upgrades

Up to 15 miles of the Big Creek Greenway in Forsyth County are enjoyed daily by walkers, runners and bikers. When a temporarily closed 1.9-mile section of the Greenway, just north of the Bethelview trailhead, reopens sometime this summer, there will be nearly 17 miles to enjoy.

Our Parks & Recreation and Capital Projects teams are working hard to make the renovation of this section happen as soon as possible while enhancing longevity and reducing future maintenance and repairs by incorporating an improved elevated boardwalk design with a steel substructure.

Watch this episode of On the Move to get the latest updates from Director of Parks & Recreation Kirk Franz and Director of Capital Projects John Jefferson.

Additional information, including an FAQ, is available by visiting the Big Creek Greenway webpage.

If you have a question about the renovation that is not covered by the video or FAQ, please email it to parkweb@forsythco.com.
