VIDEO: EMA Provides Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
During the Jan. 7 Board of Commissioners meeting, EMA Director Chris Grimes provided an update and additional information on COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Forsyth County, including:
• COVID-19 vaccine distribution is a function of Public Health. Their online appointments filled up quickly and their phone system has been overwhelmed. There is a lot of demand for the vaccine, so they ask for patience as they add capacity to their call center.
• Forsyth County Government will be assisting Public Health by providing resources and personnel for additional vaccination locations. Once the locations have been identified, information will be shared on the County’s website and social media accounts.
