Water Intake Fieldwork Continues, Expect Intermittent Lane Closures
Work on the Forsyth County Water Intake continues!
Crews will be conducting fieldwork at multiple locations along Pilgrim Mill Road (between Holtzclaw Road and Tidwell Park) Oct. 9-13, for the Forsyth County Water Intake Transmission Main. The work will be performed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
Expect intermittent lane closures and delays at the following intersections:
- Magnolia Avenue
- South of Century Drive
- Still Road
- Henderson Drive
- TW Henderson Road
- Tamiami Trail
- Bridgeman Circle
- Beaver Ruin Road
- Pebble Rock Drive
- Fowler Trail
- North of Dean Court
What fieldwork are the crews doing? Crews will be performing subsurface utility explorations, which is a technique used to investigate and locate existing underground utilities at a site where construction is planned. The purpose of these explorations is to avoid any utility conflicts.
The completed Forsyth County Water Intake Transmission Main will convey raw water from the new Forsyth County water intake pump station to our existing Antioch Water Treatment Plant raw water pipeline. Learn more about the Forsyth County Water Intake Project.
