Online Bidding Instructions

You can view a list of the Forsyth County’s Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Invitation to Bid (ITB) opportunities on the Forsyth County website. New solicitations will be accessible through the Bonfire Interactive site.

Forsyth County has partnered with Bonfire Interactive to create a new procurement portal that will allow you to receive notifications of business opportunities and submit bids and proposal to Forsyth County digitally.

Suppliers will need to register with Bonfire (one-time) it is easy and free. When you click on Bids and Results and choose the solicitation, you will be redirected to the Bonfire website.

If you experience trouble with Registration into Bonfire, support can be reached by calling 1-800-354-8010 ext. 2 or e-mail Support@GoBonfire.com. Support is available Monday to Friday 8 AM-8 PM EST.

If a supplier is awarded a project, they will also need to ensure they are registered with Forsyth County Vendor Self Service Portal.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., April 7,2022, for the following:

Providing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Shiloh Road and Shiloh Road East. The project also includes the installation of drainage structures, storm drainpipes, water lines and appurtenances, asphalt, traffic signals and markings, landscaping, erosion, sedimentation and pollution control measures, and other associated work.

Pre-bid conference will be held on site March 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. est. Location: Parking Lot of 5925 Cabot Parkway, Alpharetta, GA, 30005

It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure examination of the bid documents and site and to submit any questions / requests for clarification as directed within the Bid Documents.

The envelopes containing the Bids must be sealed, addressed to Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, GA, delivered to the Forsyth County Purchasing Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, GA 30040, and designated as Bid No. 22-29-1514 in the lower left-hand corner. No bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m., April 7,2022.

Copies of the bidding documents may be downloaded for no cost at www.forsythco.com. Instructions on how to obtain the bid documents are located at the top of the “Bids & Results” page. If a hard copy is desired from the Forsyth County Procurement Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, GA 30040, Ph. 770-888-8872, there is a non-refundable fee of $35.00 (cash or check to Forsyth County only).

Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, a Bid Bond, or a Certified or Cashier's Check to the order of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid and a Consent of Surety form from a surety company licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia, engaging to furnish, upon award of the Contract, a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the completed work and the appropriate insurance certificate.

No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening, thereof.

Award of bid will be made at a later date. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders and the general public are invited to attend the bid opening at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7,2022, at the Forsyth County Procurement Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, Georgia.
